Second Axis

Send the data. Get the film.

Second Axis builds data-driven video as code. You send a dataset; you get a broadcast-quality animated sequence. When the numbers change, it re-renders the same day.

Three films. One template. Nine renders. Dataset size made no measurable difference to render time — the gap between films was smaller than the noise between two runs of the same one.

1 — Where the US ad money went

IAB/PwC Internet Advertising Revenue Report · US · 2018–2025

The US digital ad market nearly tripled in seven years. Video grew twice as fast as search.

2 — Google Cloud is closing on AWS

AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle OCI · public filings · Q3 2024–Q2 2026

Google Cloud went from 41% of AWS to 59% in eight quarters.

3 — Where mobile money actually moves

GSMA Global Mobile Money Dataset 2025 · December values, 2015–2025

Sub-Saharan Africa moves more mobile money than the rest of the world combined.

Every Second Axis film states what its data can’t say.

Microsoft doesn’t disclose Azure revenue in dollars. Google Cloud’s figure includes Workspace. Oracle’s fiscal quarters lead the calendar by a month. All three are on screen in the film above.

A chart that hides its own limits will eventually embarrass the person who presented it.
